As with most archangels, there are animals that symbolize them here on earth. So, on that note, when you think of love and animals in the same thought, what animals do YOU think of?
Deer is one I almost always think of. Maybe it’s back to the movie Bambi, I don’t know, but for me deer has always seemed, empowered and yet shy to do so. According to Ted Andrews, deer is “gentleness and Innocence – gentle luring to new adventure” Luring to new adventure – isn’t that what love starts out to be – gentle, innocent and yet a beautiful new adventure?
Dove is yet another animal that is associated with Archangel Chamael. Dove – the universal symbol for peace. Ted Andrews agrees saying, “Feminine energies of peace, maternity and prophecy.” When I think of a dove, I not only think of peace, but the love of God and the angels and how I see representations of it on a daily basis.
The third animal associated with Archangel Chamael is the butterfly. How can you not appreciate a butterfly knowing what it has endured to literally transform itself into the magical creature we see flitting from one flower to another in search of food? Yet again, Ted agrees saying, “Butterfly is transformation and the dance of joy.” Yet like love it is fragile, something to cherish and adore.
The last animal that resonates with Archangel Chamael is the rabbit. Back to the Bambi theme – who doesn’t think Thumper is cute? They are soft, adorable and can multi like nobody’s business making them great at alchemy and creation of projects. Ted says, “fertility and new life” represents the rabbit. Hmmm, new life – can be literal or can be the beginnings of something new and wonderful.
So as you go about your day, pay attention to the various ways that Archangel Chamael tries to get your attention – animals are just one of them – what others can you think of and wish to share with us?
