So many events, persons and places to be grateful for.
As part of angelchatter’s first post, the one I am most grateful to is my daughter who designed, arranged and instructed me how to go about and actually do this kind of thing. A big step for me, but one that I am very ready to embrace, nurture and grow with, as I hope, you will with me.
What is all this talk about gratefulness and gratitude? Do you remember when you were younger and looked through a frosted window at the gently falling snow? The anticipation, the excitement and the pure joy that overcame you as this wondrous event unfolded right before your eyes. You became grateful for the chance to play, get bundled up and miss a day or two of school!
Snow brings so much wonder to the world. The world looks and feels different – pristine, pure and full of magic. It sparkles and glistens like none other. At this time of year when Christmas lights are abundant decorating homes, buildings and storefronts, the snow piles up covering those lights. But does it actually cover it? As lights glow under the snow, it actually spreads its warmth and light farther than previously realized. Try this analogy in comparing Christmas lights to you. Just imagine yourself as that one little bulb radiating through the snow; radiating your divine soul through creating brightness, joy and love while creating havens of light for those you love.
Snow can make the world stop still for moment. You can enjoy those moments of NOW, reveling in the excitement of freshly falling snow, enjoying the excuse of staying indoors to read, cuddled by the fire or baking. You can take the day slowly, enjoying the simpler moments of simply being and being grateful for a chance to catch your breath. You get a perfect opportunity to become a child once again by making snowmen, sledding and of course, making snow angels.
